Our clients Restaurant franchise in Durban central is looking to hire mass waiter staff for the upcoming festive season.
You will be working 6 to 8 hour shifts a week (amount of shifts will vary so you can have 2 to 3 days off a week depending on your work schedule).
Basic salary per month: Market Related (negotiable based on work experience) + Daily cash tips/Sales commission and cash incentives
Minimum Requirements:
This is a position for those of you with no work experience and for those of you with no more than 7 years waitering work experience.
Basic math skills
Attentiveness and patience for customers
Strong organizational and multitasking skills
Active listening and effective communication skills
Team spirit
Flexibility to work in shifts
Grade 10 or N2 passed in school at least.
Daily Duties and tasks:
Greet and escort customers to their tables
Present menu and provide detailed information when asked (e.g. about portions, ingredients or potential food allergies)
Prepare tables by setting up linens, silverware and glasses
Inform customers about the day’s specials
Offer menu recommendations upon request
Up-sell additional products when appropriate
Communicate order details to the Kitchen Staff
Serve food and drink orders
Deliver checks and collect bill payments
Carry dirty plates, glasses and silverware to kitchen for cleaning
Provide excellent customer service to guests
