Dis-Chem Pharmacies in Midrand has an opportunity available for a Courier Manifest Clerk. The main purpose of the role is to achieve operational excellence by performing a clerical function in the Manifesting area in order to meet both legal and customer requirements.

Grade 12 / Matric

Ensure that all parcels are packed and distributed according to company SOP’s to the correct courier as per delivery date.
Ensure that stock is packed in a manner that will prevent cross-contamination and damages
Ensure that all medicines are packed and labelled according to the SOP’s
Ensuring that the correct size boxes are used, and have a good understanding to cost implications by using the incorrect packing materials.
Ensure that each box is labelled with all necessary required stickers according to SOP.
Adhere to strict cut-off times, prioritize orders as per requirement and SLA are met daily.
Ensure the necessary standards of speed and accuracy are maintained, while manifesting.
Ensure compliance with high standards of accuracy in order to meet customer requirements.
A DDC WAYBILL is created for all parcels to be dispatched as per Marconi training document.
Only one Dis-Chem Waybill is required per box. This needs to be placed on the corner of the box.
Ensure that high standards of accuracy are maintained during checking of completed orders.
To ensure that all stock is packed and cold chain maintained within GPP principles to minimize stock loss.
Cold chain medicines to be packed in cold chain boxes as per SOP
Packing of practice orders:
To create a manifest for multiple parcels sent to a specific address
To check on the manifest that the parcels indicated as ambient and cold chain is correct
To pack the cold chain parcels in a cold chain box as per SOP
To update the manifest as required by the daily workload
To sign the manifest as confirmation that it was checked as correct
To ensure that the waybill printed on the manifest is the same as the waybill on the box
To ensure that the number of consolidated boxes are counted and the fridge and ambient boxes are indicated on the manifest
Improve Bulking to enhance service to customers and reduce courier costs.
Have effective and efficient relationships with internal customers to improve operating efficiencies.
Report all damaged goods, variances and errors to management.
Ensure that all parcels marked with URGENT Request, are dealt with a sense of Urgency and dispatched.
To ensure that all the boxes in the dispatch area are handed over to the courier for collection at the end of every dispatch day.
To scan all parcels out to the courier for dispatch
Make sure that all at the end of day all necessary work has been scanned out and accounted for.
Provide friendly, helpful and courteous assistance and advice to all internal and external customers when needed.
Ensure all out of stock queries from customers are followed up with the customer service out of stock list.
Ensure all customer stock queries are dealt with and resolved.
Assist in the training of new and current staff members when needed.
Report bad and suspicious behaviour – staff and customers.
