The Handyman is responsible for performing basic maintenance of grounds, equipment and other small jobs may be required from time to time.

Duties and Responsibilities

Perform supervised and unsupervised basic maintenance of facilities and Equipment
Supervision will be by a technically competent person relating to the discipline being worked on.
Assist the Technical Services Manager with the maintenance and repair of the Premises and equipment as and when required
Identify preventative maintenance opportunities.
Investigate faults & carry out the required maintenance.
Ensure job plans & maintenance schedules are carried out
Ensure job cards for allocated maintenance are completed
Report / escalate faults to the Technical Services Manager/Technical Services Supervisor/Artisan
Ensure that maintenance performed is in accordance with the relevant Regulatory and Statutory regulations.
Adhere to company policies, procedures & legislation in line with corporate governance.
Education

Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent NQF level 4
Work Experience

Basic skills with general tools
Basic Hand skills
Basic skills with power tools
Familiar with safe workshop practice
