Refrigeration Technician

KwaZulu-Natal

A leading South African manufacturer and marketer of processed products. The range includes Bacon, Viennas, Russians, Polony, Sausages, Marinated Ribs, Ham and Fresh products. A vacancy exists within this company for a REFRIGERATION TECHNICIAN. The successful candidate will report to the Maintenance Foreman.

Candidate must meet the following requirement:

1. Qualification

Post-Matric Qualification in Refrigeration

Qualified fitter

Refrigeration is essential and boiler experience will be an added advantage

Computer Literacy

2. Experience required

Qualified fitter with 3 years experience

3. Personality Traits

Motivated

Organized

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

4. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Be prepared to work overtime and standby

Supervise the refrigeration/boiler section

Do installations and repairs in cold rooms

Maintenance and servicing of the refrigeration plant and equipment

Inspection of ice machine and compressors

Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing maintenance requirements (both planned and unplanned) on utility systems (to provide a continuous supply of heat, steam, cooling, electric power, gas or air required for operations) and production processing

Repairing ammonia refrigeration systems, boiler (steams) systems, air compressor systems, wastewater treatment system, heating, venting and air conditioning.
