Ensuring that all studios are well stocked with sufficient equipment;
Ensuring that all studios are open and music systems are working fifteen minutes before the class;
Taking the batteries off charge and putting it in the studio where instructors need them and afterward, putting the batteries back on charge;
Ensuring that there is always fresh water in the Cycle Studio;
After class, ensuring that the sound systems and studios are locked;
Being present at all times during classes to provide assistance to Group Exercise Instructors where and when needed;
Updating the noticeboard as needed (in-club and online);
Printing and laminating weekly timetables to be put up on the noticeboard, at the Blousaal, Spinning studio and for reception;
Checking the website and ensuring that it resembles the timetable, and vice versa;
Ensuring that the number of participants in each class is accurately communicated to the Group Exercise Manager on a daily basis;
Completing the stock sheet at the end of every month, and notifying the Group Exercise Manager of any broken or stolen equipment;
Coming up with monthly events concepts to drive member engagement/service/ satisfaction;
Taking initiative in dealing with member queries and conflicts that may arise from time to time;
A typical working day will consist of a split shift, covering classes in both mornings and evenings.
Valid First Aid/ AED qualification;
Minimum of one year’s general work experience, preferably in the group exercise or fitness industry;
Self-management: managing own time, priorities, and resources to achieve goals;
Effective verbal and written communication;
The ability to speak in front of large target audiences;
Good understanding of service excellence;
Excellent attention to detail;
Good conflict management skills.
Qualification in any exercise-to-music modality;
Fitness industry-related qualification or proven progress towards a qualification;
Passion for the fitness industry.
