Contract
Inspect vehicle/stationary engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues accurately
Engine rebuilds & maintenance
Clutches
Suspension work
Electrical Work
General maintenance on vehicles
Conduct routine maintenance work (replacing fluids, lubricating parts etc.) aiming to vehicle/stationary equipment functionality and longevity
Complete vehicle safety check with every check
Keep the vehicle in acceptable Road Worthy condition
Minimize Vehicle Malfunctions by through checks
Preventative maintenance
Schedule future maintenance sessions and inform management of equipment maintenance
Use Job Cards to record services
Ensure all parts is written on Job Cards/ captured on the stock application
Fill in special order form for parts not kept in the stock room – parts required that is not in stock
Update daily outgoings list on the computer as a form of communication between workshop and sales team
Report any defects that will delay a vehicle to line manager at least 60 minutes in advance
Repair or replace broken or dysfunctional parts and fix issues (e.g. leaks)
Follow repair and replacement protocol (fan switches, steel pipes, services, brakes, batteries, welsh plugs, etc)
Accurate diagnostics
Provide work according to industry level
Ensure work is done in sufficient time
Ensure quality work is provided
Keep logs on work and issues
Use Service board to note any future part changes eg. “next service cambelt”
Maintain equipment and tools in good condition
Clean equipment and tools daily as per cleaning protocol
Maintain and report any defects on vehicle lifts to Speedshop Supervisor for immediate repairs
Drain water from air traps
Fix any air leaks
Keep Toolbox neat
Cleaning
Clean workshop as per signed policy and protocol
Ensure tools are packed and clean
Ensure safe and clean working environment continuously
Wear acceptable/safe clothing
Roadside assistance
Relief Roadside assistance technicians from their duty when required
Assist customers that need roadside assistance
Ensure Roadside assistance vehicle are kept clean and neat]
Roadside assistance vehicle must have all required parts as per parts list readily available in vehicle
Use Tablet to complete Job cards
Use tablet to report back on vehicle malfunctions and customer ratings
Assist on accidents scenes
Vehicle towing and recovery
