Job Purpose

Receives and processes customer payments in exchange for goods purchased.
Responsibilities

Cashbook Administration and Processing

Accurately investigate and reconcile daily cashbook processing for SA Distribution
Communicate and reverse all incorrect/duplicate deposit and RD cheques to credit control
Ensure cashbook deadlines are met as well as the entire months bank statement is saved in excel and pdf on the shared drive
All short on deposits and bank debits have been investigated with the bank and processed to the correct customer accounts
Ensure balance sheets are managed monthly and kept clean and journals processed for month-end deadlines
Processing of cashbook entries on ERP system
Accurate daily cashbook and bank reconciliations
Daily Investigation of queries left Un-reconciled on NAV
Daily journals and corrections on cashbook entries
Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts (Weekly Responsibility) is to prepare and post reconciliations and get sign off from reporting manager
Post cashbooks weekly and ensure the recon, processing, bank statement and investigations are saved on the shared drive

Client Liaison

Daily liaison with different banks on unallocated receipts and bank reversals as well as RD cheques.

Requirements of the Job
Experience

12 to 18 months based experience
