l needs to be a self-starter who can work under pressure. We require a diligent and hard-working individual, who can be part of a highly motivated team.
Duties would include, but not be limited to:
Cost accounting
Pricing
Preparing Budget Reports
Setting up Costing model
Analyzing data collected and recording results
Determining fixed costs
Determining variable costs of business
Recording cost information for use in controlling expenditures
Analyzing audits of costs and preparing reports
Liaise between all departments to resolve problems and queries relating to costing
Support business with costing of projects, services and business functions.
Reporting on critical analyses with explanations of variances
Compliance with company policies and procedures
Qualifications, experience and competencies required:
The successful candidate will be required to have 3-4 years solid costing experience.
National Diploma in Cost & Management Accounting or Bcom degree
Studying towards CIMA would be to your advantage
Advanced skills in the use of MS Excel and previous costing experience in a business environment, is essential.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks concurrently
Impeccable interpersonal and people skills
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word
An exceptional understanding of financial systems
Ability to work under pressure
Ability to identify problems and correct them
Sense of responsibility
Precision, accuracy and attention to detail
Deadline driven
Must be willing to work addition hours if required
Highly proficient in Pastel Partner 2009 or equivalent accounting package
Good interpersonal skills
Strong work ethics and high standards for achievement.
