PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Process all accounting entries, relating primarily to debtors. Ensure maintenance of student fee accounts through constant liaison with students and facilitators.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAs
Customer service
Engage with Debtors on a professional manner
Follow up on all Debtors enquiries received
Resolving daily Debtors queries and ensuring query resolution register is maintained
Administration
Daily posting and clearing of bank accounts
Follow-up on debtors related issues and the tracking thereof
Preparation and posting of debtors invoicing
Clearing of debtors control accounts
Preparation and distribution of debtor’s statements
Preparation of monthly standard invoices
Clearing and balancing of internal accounts:
Petty Cash
Debtors reconciliations
Maintaining debtors files and supporting documentation
Daily / Weekly / Monthly Reporting to management on outstanding debtors
Ensure debtor collection are in line with the agreed budget process
Reconciliation of the debtors sub-ledger to the general ledger
Minimum Requirements
Matric
Degree/Diploma in Accounting
2-3 year in similar position
SAGE Evolution knowledge will be a strong advantage
Strong in collecting outstanding debtors
Strong understanding of the debtors function
Excellent reconciliation skills for complex accounts
Must be able to communicate well internally and with customers
Must be highly organized and able to plan him/herself
Computer literate especially on Excel
Able to communicate verbally and in writing in English
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Highly administrative and debtor focused
A structured and organized approach
Self-motivated, flexible, energetic, confident
Strong resistance to pressure
