To monitor DC execution against the load plan, as well as allocate resources for any immediate requirements, to meet the execution and communication expectations of both the Customer and Company, within a structured planning framework in the distribution environment.
Key Accountabilities and Outputs
Enhanced customer service
Monitor the execution of the Load Plan to ensure effective & customer service orientated. Daily Load Plans are delivered. Planned ETA’s Communication Managed & Customer Database updates managed
Monitors DC KPI’s ie. Truck Start Up Times, Route Adherence Managed and adjust plan accordingly
Reconciliation of trip documentation.
Monitoring and reconciliation of fuel transactions and consumption.
Driver KPI’s and Short Cycle Feedback managed Monitor and communicate progress of complete load plan made up of pre- planned loads and ‘Today- loads” delivery On-going communication and supervision of Depot operations & Live- tracking software, for the monitoring of planned implementation
High Level Day to Day Activity
Monitor execution of load plan using Trackmatic.
Reporting on driver’s adherence to plan.
Monitoring of live Standard Bank fuel transactions.
Compilation of fuel transaction report and fuel consumption by vehicle.
Compilation of driver time reports.
Communication between drivers and customers.
Facilitation of vehicle services and maintenance.
Vehicle trip queries with the use of Tracking Solution.
Maintain open communication channels with Sales, Debtors, Manufacturing and Distribution.
Engage with Transporter and external transport providers to ensure vehicle availability, thereby ensuring customer service.
Health and Safety:
Ensure adherence to site safety standards and critical member of Safety, Health and Environmental Committee in line with the OSH Act.
Ensure the safe operation of vehicles in accordance with the Road Traffic Act within and outside of the Distribution Centre.
Ensure compliance to all relevant legislation and support a safe environment for LGBs Employees, Contractors and Visitors.

Qualifications and Experience
A relevant 3 year Degree / Diploma
A proven track record in Distribution / Operations environment Knowledge of Trackmatic systems is Advantageous
Minimum 12 months experience in Load Planning and or Distribution will be advantageous
