Finance Administrator wanted: Salary R8 000 to R10 000 Per Month

Savanna Staff Solutions is a London based company that specialises in the recruitment and provision of staff in the transport industry. Originating from South Africa, the director has set up a work-from-home support office in South Africa which takes care of back office function of our UK operation. This office is currently based in Tergniet but will be moving to Baardskeerdersbos in roughly a years’ time. We are looking to recruit a bright and energetic finance administrator to join our South Africa team.
Apart from the preferred skills and experience, the ideal candidate will live near Tergniet (where our current office is located, and training will be delivered) or near Baardskeerdersbos where our office will move to. That being said, what is most important is to find the right person – so candidates outside of these geographical locations will be considered.
microsoft excel : 2 to 3 years
microsoft word : 1 to 2 years
accounting software : 1 to 2 years
Key responsibilities include:
Processing weekly payroll using our Salesforce based app
Processing worker payments weekly using bank file import
Invoicing clients weekly using QuickBooks accounting software
Ensuring our strict compliance standards are upheld
Accurate and efficient data processing and general administration
To be considered candidate will be (or have):
Great communicator, fluent in English and Afrikaans
Proficient in using Microsoft programs: Excel, Word, Outlook
Strong academics – Matric level education (including Maths and English Language)
Excellent attention to detail
Strong organisational skills
Good communication, both spoken and written
Proactive team player
Reliable, flexible, hard-working and positive
An ability to navigate various systems and databases
Good numerical and organisational skills
The ability to work as part of a team as well as on own initiative
Additional previous experience preferred but not essential:
Use of CRM, preferably Salesforce
Use of accounting software, preferably QuickBooks or Xero
Work from home
Worked in a fast-pased pressurised environment where telephone calls in English are required
Use of Microsoft Excel at work
Dependant on experience. R8,000 per calendar month minimum. Salaries are paid by 30th of the month and is paid one month in arrears.
20 days per year annual leave, plus UK holidays (bank holidays).
Annual leave: to be agreed with South Africa management team. Up to15 of the 20 days may be required to take off in the period between 20th December and the End of February every year due to the seasonality of the work.
Holidays: In addition to the 20 days holiday per year, every year in the UK there are 8 bank holiday days. These days you’ll be off and will be paid. Please note, South African holidays that do not fall on UK holidays you’ll be expected to work at a normal day’s pay rate.
Place of work, and hours:
Initial training will be in Tergniet. Accommodation can be provided for the period of training if required.
Following the initial training, you’ll be expected to work from home. Any required equipment can be provided.
Hours of work are 08:00 to 17:00 SA time, with 1 hour allocated for lunch.
The successful candidate will have a contract of employment with the UK business, but will report to and get paid via the South Africa management team.
