The δ Group is therefore a vertically integrated group that can initiate, finance, plan, design, construct, operate and maintain infrastructure and facilities.
Delta Built Environment Consultants wishes to recruit a Garden Maintenance Supervisor to fulfil a role on site. The Garden Maintenance Supervisor’s main responsibilities are to ensure that the client’s requirements and objectives are achieved. The Garden Maintenance supervisor shall endeavor to attain absolute client satisfaction by way of effective management and facilitation of the interaction of the project’s stakeholders at all times.
Minimum of 2 years of experience and applicable qualifications, managerial skill and expertise in garden maintenance.
The main duties and responsibilities of the Garden Maintenance Supervisor are as follows:
Implement the project’s work plan, and ensure that assigned duties are executed by all GM assistants;
Provide staff with support and guidance regarding policies and procedures;
Provide staff with support and guidance regarding sound garden maintenance and all relevant duties and best practices;
Recommend changes to the plan to the PM as needed to meet changing needs and requirements;
Identify resources such as tools, equipment and consumables that are requested and request from PM;
Lead the team and implement schedules and daily duties;
Monitor and supervise daily activities and implement means to rectify shortcomings;
Supply support and guidance to the team ensuring quality service;
Ensure that quality assurance procedures are adhered to;
Minimise exposure and risk to individuals involved on projects;
Ensure that all projects documentation is complete, current, and stored appropriately;
Execute all administrative duties as requested by the PM;
Track and report on team hours and the project’s expenses on a weekly basis;
Submit required weekly schedules of attendance as well as requested leave;
Provide relevant information for the newsletter;
Ensure that projects run smoothly;
Order the stock required for projects on a monthly basis;
Effectively communicate relevant project information to the project manager;
Resolve and/or escalate issues in a timely fashion;
Manage day-to-day operations on site;
Continually seek opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and strengthen the company’s relationship with clients;
Look after the company equipment (vehicles, equipment and tools etc.) and report on any issues that may occur with the equipment;
Do a weekly stock take and inspection of all tools and equipment and report any losses or damage;

Minimum of 2 years experience in garden maintenance in a manegerial position.
Time management skills
Qualification in horticulture or landscaping will be advantageous.
