Report to: The General Manager
Office: Head Office (Betrams, Johannesburg)
Manage the residential facility for people with mental disabilities.
Provide support to staff.
Control and manage finances and assets in the residential facility.
Manage service delivery in the Gordonia residential facility and group homes.
Establish and maintain stakeholders and donor relationship.
Raise funds for the residential facility and compile business plans and progress reports to donors and government departments.
Ensure effective Social Work services and rehabilitation programmes are rendered effectively.
Establish and maintain a meaningful relationship with a diverse group of staff, residents and their families.
Ensure full compliance with the Department of Health and City of Joburg requirements.
Possess Bachelor’s degree in Social Work.
Have a minimum of 8 years’ experience in the field of Social Work of which three years must be managerial experience.
Must be registered with the South African Council of Social Services professions for the year 2019/20.
Must be able to drive and possess a valid driver’s license.
Experience working with people with mental disabilities will serve as an advantage.
Previous experience in the NGO will be an added advantage.
Knowledge in the legislation governing people with mental disability will also serve as an advantage.
Ability to perform under pressure and take initiative in solving problems.
