An established manufacturing company located on the East Rand requires an experienced Safety Manager / Specialist.

Salary market related and negotiable depending on experience

Applicants should meet the following requirements:

Degree or Diploma in Environmental/Safety Management essential

SAMTRAC certificates advantageous

Must have experience in a manufacturing environment, working with heavy machinery

Knowledge of legal requirements for hazardous chemicals would be an advantage

Sound knowledge and experience working with OHS Act and ISO45001

Must have experience in risk assessments and incident investigations

Minimum 8 years’ safety management experience within a manufacturing environment

Computer literate

Own vehicle and valid drivers license

Must be able and willing to work long hours
