Sierraview Residences operates 11 self-catering accommodation units across 2 properties in Sandton targeted at long-stay and corporate guests.

We have an opening for an ambitious hospitality manager responsible for marketing our properties and providing a professional, flawless and 5-Star experience to guests and potential guests. The goal being to increase profits, guest occupancy, reinforce brand excellence and achieve lasting client satisfaction and loyalty.

The ideal candidate must possess strong boutique hospitality accommodation experience with expertise in the long-stay and corporate market segment. A summary job description follows:

ยท Develop, establish and implement standard operating procedures

ยท Ensure adherence to relevant legal, occupational, health and safety regulations

ยท Identify and establish relationships with relevant marketing/booking channels and corporate travel agents

ยท Identify any special requirements of guests and attend to these promptly

ยท Identify, establish and maintain potential B2B relationships for collaborations

ยท Control and manage relevant documents and records

ยท Liaise and manage corporate client accommodation requirements and develop strong customer relationships within this sector

ยท Manage and follow-up on all booking enquiries

ยท Establish a comprehensive database of guests and potential clients

ยท Manage equipment and supplies – linen, towels and consumables

ยท Manage guestsโ€™ liaison from enquiries, bookings, transfers, arrivals, check-ins, stays, complaints, check-outs and post-stay feedbacks, with the constant aim of providing exceptional and memorable guest experiences

ยท Manage staff and take up a leadership role in the delivery and appraisal of their services

ยท Oversee all areas of the facilities that are experienced by our guests and/or potential guests to ensure they are in flawless condition

ยท Position the properties to maximize revenue and occupancy targets

ยท Prepare and submit regular reports to management

ยท Propose marketing strategies and liaise with the appointed service provider to execute

The ideal candidate must possess the following:

ยท A formal hospitality qualification from an accredited English-speaking institution.

ยท Minimum 5 years of proven experience in guest relations and sales in the South African hospitality accommodation industry. A minimum employment period of 18 months in one previous company is a requirement.

ยท Experience with medical tourists and guests from other African countries

ยท Experience with room management software and extranets โ€“ Nightsbridge, Booking.com, Expedia, Tripadvisor, etc.

ยท Experience with social media platforms โ€“ Google, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.

ยท Computer literacy and proficiency with MS Office applications

ยท A valid South African driving licence

The ideal candidate should be a self-starter, motivated, passionate and possess the following qualities:

ยท A strong sense of responsibility, impeccable integrity, honesty and self-dignity

ยท Passion for hospitality service and the delivery of exceptional guest experiences

ยท Leadership and motivational skills for high performance in a team setting

ยท Ability to resolve issues in an efficient and people-sensitive manner

ยท Passionate about exceptional housekeeping/groundskeeping and a stickler for detail

ยท First-aid training and occupational, health and safety competence will be an advantage

Contactable work references must be available if required. Whilst not essential, possession of own vehicle will be viewed favourably.

This is a stay-in position that will require availability for guestsโ€™ check-ins and requests when required.

Package: Combination of a basic salary + performance-related salary + accommodation
