Recruitment function
Line managers, dealer principals and management to confirm all vacant positions
Advertising of vacancies internally and externally
Liaising and following up with recruitment agencies
Scheduling of interviews
Screening checks in terms of IMI’s, credit and criminal checks
Following up with management for shortlisted candidates
Issuing offer of employment
Issuing of employment pack and process on VIP
Informing medical aid of new and terminated employees
Opening new employee file and archiving terminated employee file
Issue PRP details for new employee (biometrics)

HR administration
Ensuring Employment Equity reports are submitted timeously and that meetings are held
OHSA training and compliance is in place at all dealerships
BEE – Assisting with relevant HR information that is required
Ensuring that all staff adhere to company policies and procedures
Submission of monthly HR report
Ensure maternity employees UI19 documentation is submitted on the online system
SMS notification is sent for Staff absenteeism and reports are distributed to the dealership timeously
Assist with pension fund queries and submissions to the funds

IR functions
Issuing of warning letters (assisting with the wording)
Issuing of notice to attend inquiries
Booking of chairman for disciplinary inquiry
Sitting in on disciplinary enquiries and advising on the outcome to make sure we fall in line with the MIBCO rules and regulations
Following up on any current DRC matters

Payroll
Prepare, collect and sort input documentation for all companies
Update employee information when required
Capture payroll input timeously (employee packs, change forms, terminations, and promotions)
Communicating with Discovery Health regarding transfer/terminations for the Group
Capture Lleave for employees on VIP (verification of all supporting documents)
Capture disciplinary warnings on VIP
Send maternity employees documentation and email with all relevant documentation that needs to be completed for UIF purposes
Cross check input before every payroll run of all dealerships
Print and fold payslips, attached birthday message

Skills development function
Mandatory grant submission (actual training reports as well as work place skills plan) for all the dealerships. This is done on an annual basis and is submitted online
Monthly reporting on skills per dealership as part of the HR report
Arrange relevant In-house training per dealership requirements
Registration/cancellation and transfer of apprentice contracts
Liaising with training centre regarding the training and apprentices
Discretionary grant submission for apprentices, consultation and monitoring thereof with a client liaison.
