Report to: The General Manager
Office: Head Office (Betrams, Johannesburg)
Administration of recruitment and selection processes including drafting job adverts, shortlisting, interviews, reference check and compiling interview report and orientation of new employees.
Keeps job descriptions up-to-date, accurate and compliant with relevant legislations.
Ensure that the HR policies are in place and comply with relevant legislations.
Coordinate all quarterly performance Reviews and staff development needs of the organization.
Assist with all Employee Relations matters and coordination of employee wellness activities.
Ensure the organization adheres to the Health and Safety standards as required by the relevant legislations.
Maintenance of HR records including filing manually and electronically.
Handle the disciplinary matters and participate in all the HR activities.
Develops training and performance management programs that ensure all employees are familiar with their job responsibilities, as well as relevant safety requirements.
Ensure that personal files are well kept and up to date.
Assist in terms of identifying training and developmental needs of employees.
Coordination of the Skills Development programme and facilitation of HWSETA programmes.
Act as an assistant to the General Manager.
Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, with strong knowledge or background experience in Human Resources or Labor Law.
Have a minimum of 10 years’ experience in the field of Social Work.
Must be registered with the South African Council of Social Services professions for the year 2019/20.
Must be able to drive and possess a valid driver’s license.
Qualification in Human Resource/Labour Law will serve as an advantage.
Demonstrate effectiveness in written and oral communication
Previous experience in the NGO sector will be an added advantage.
Sound knowledge of South African legislations governing Human Resource.
Be able to deal with confidential matters.
Ability to perform under pressure and take initiative in solving problems.
Must have basic knowledge on Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
