IT Support Technician wanted ASAP- Salary R13 500 – R17 000 Per Month

The IT Support / Service Technician will be responsible for delivering quality IT
support and respective administration needed to maintain internal IT set-up to service the business’ needs. This includes servers, networking, phone systems, laptops, desktops and outsourced service providers.
Assist employees with any and all computer, phone, email & network related issues
Log, update and communicate with employees via the Helpdesk ticketing system
Install and configure desktops and laptops for employees including new setups, migrations, rebuilds, etc. (use of Sysprep tool required)
Manage and support a variety of server system environments (Server 2003, 2008 R2, 2016, Linux)
Execute telephone system changes, including routing for seating assignments
Assist the IT Manager in the administration of the procuring of all software, hardware & support agreements and other IT supplies
Application configuration such as email clients as well as in-house systems
Support special project initiatives
Assist Software Development staff with ad hoc data projects
Assist Marketing & Communications Department with setting up of email campaigns
Any other duties as reasonably required by the business
At least 3 years’ experience within an IT support environment working with Windows Server and Linux
Active Directory/DNS/DHCP administration experience
SQL Server 2008R2-2016 backup and maintenance experience will be advantageous
Knowledge of IP networks. Routing, switching and firewall (Linux and Windows)
Microsoft application suite experience required – MS Excel
Backup and recovery (Veritas BackupExec, Ease US Todo backup) experience required
Networking support for firewalls and VPN client and server connections
Exposure to maintaining Antivirus systems (ESET end point Antivirus Desktop and File Server edition) is required. Especially remote administration.
