Journalist wanted immediately: Salary R10 000 to R18 000 per month

The successful candidate must have a nose for a storie/news.

This person will be working on the travel publications generating news stories. Some travel may be necessary from time to time, although this would be irregular.

Responsibilities and Duties:

This person will be sourcing industry news, interviewing senior industry people, writing articles for both the online and print publications in the travel industry and loading stories for publication for our daily online publication. This person will need to be able to meet deadlines and generate and write news stories easily.
This person must have the ability to find relevant industry news/stories

Qualifications and Skills:

2/3 year PROVEN experience in Journalism/news writing experience
Degree in Journalism/Communication is highly advantageous!
This person should be able to understand what makes a story, write with ease, rewrite others’ work into a style, talk with people on the phone and in-person confidently.
A positive work outlook is important.
Must be Authoritative, be Resourceful, Exceed Expectations.
Must be able to work in a very high pressured environment, meeting daily and weekly deadlines
