Main Purpose of Job

Supports Engagement Manager in delivery of services to at client premises on delegated engagement/project. Focus on the delivery of client engagements and shares knowledge and experience with others. Understands objectives for clients and aligns own work to objectives.

Provides Regulatory Intelligence

Ability to increase the effectiveness of regulatory strategies by identifying and articulating intelligent data
Defines a comprehensive and holistic view of the constituent system in which the client operates
Analyzes the impact of possible restrictions or regulations in each part of the client’s value chain and assesses the company’s ability to respond
Keeps in mind the client’s regulatory strategy priorities when defining KPIs and metrics to enable effective execution and measurable progress
Implements Regulatory Compliance Change / Response Programs

Ability to assess various components of the client’s regulatory compliance system to identify gaps and prioritize solutions
Conducts regulatory compliance current-state assessments, identifies gaps and prioritizes remediation by leveraging an in-depth understanding of regulations (current and potential) that are relevant to the client’s business
Analyses key components of the client’s regulatory reporting process (e.g., automation, documentation, review and approval) to identify gaps with leading practices
Assesses policies and procedures to analyse compliance with regulatory requirements and evaluate overall operational efficiency

Qualifications

Required

LLB Degree with 3 plus years post articles legal experience with regulatory compliance matters in the financial services industry/energy and resources industry.

Preferred

Experience in a client-facing/consulting/professional services role.
