A dynamic and growing producer and manufacturer of specialty bakery products is offering an opportunity for an energetic and suitably Logistics Assistant to join our team.


To assist the Logistics Supervisor in overseeing and enforcing the execution of the logistics plan for a shift, ensuring that specifications are followed and GMP’s are adhered at all times.

Key Performance Areas

Ensure proper and accurate execution of the daily logistics plan in support of the Logistics Supervisor (including completing bookings, loading and offloading trucks , checking equipment, continuously clearing the floor by checking product).
Ensure all specification requirements are adhered to.
Maintain and update and report on status of logistics equipment (i.e. equipment count for dollies, lugs, pallets).
Maintain all documentation required for due diligence (i.e. all paperwork and documentation for drivers, hourly reports, creating and completing load-sheets, trip sheets and check sheets, GRN’s, marking down stock incoming and outgoing).
Ensure GMP’s are adhered to at all times.

Minimum Requirements

NQF 4 (Matric) or related qualification

Thorough grasp of literacy and numeracy.
Relevant work experience in Logistics Management and the FMCG industry is advantageous.
Knowledge of technical processes and principles is advantageous.
