Logistics Compliance Officer wanted Asap: APPLY HERE

Intercape is searching for a Logistics Compliance Officer to join the Logistics team at Johannesburg Park Station. The successful candidate must be willing to work shifts, over weekends, as well as on public holidays. Working in a highly pressurised and fast-paced work environment will be required for this position.

3 Years’ Experience
Previous logistics experience will be advantageous
RSA citizen
KEY PERFORMANCE AREA 1: Warehouse Management

· Manage of the Inflow of goods into the warehouse in accordance with the procedures set out

· Manage the outbound flow of goods from the warehouse environment to the platforms/loading area.

· Manage daily tasks of warehouse Clerks

· Do daily space planning in accordance with the warehouse process

· Carry out quality spot checks on all weighed luggage in the warehouse.

· Manage the luggage sticker’s control and stock quantities of flyers, stickers etc.

· Ensure the overall image & appearance of the warehouse is up to Intercape standard

· Write up and communicate all remaining luggage daily to the distribution list as set out in the Warehouse procedure

· After dispatch documents, i.e. SARS Doc. Cargo Manifest etc. must be sent to distribution list set out in Warehouse procedures

KEY PERFORMANCE AREA 2: Boarding Gates Management

· Ensure passenger control from the boarding gates.

· Manage overall image and appearance at Boarding Gates.

· Conduct physical inspections of luggage moved to coaches.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREA 3: Platform Management

· Manage all passenger movement.

· Ensure positioning of crowd barriers and manage crowds in unauthorized areas.

· Manage timeous departure of coaches

· Make sure luggage is loaded correctly and as optimally as possible

· Ensure Bolt Seals are recorded, handed over to drivers, sealed on trailers and side boots and then communicated to the necessary distribution list

· Ensure all staff follow the Policy and Procedure set out.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREA 4: Customer problem solving

· Manage customer enquiries and complaints on a daily basis.

· Ensure effective communication with all staff and passengers.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREA 5: Human Resource Management

· Conduct performance reviews on a weekly basis – completing performance score-cards.

· Ensuring roster management of all staff.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREA 6: Effective utilization of all systems used

· Responsible for effective utilization, accurate capturing, and thorough record keeping on all systems relevant to perform daily tasks within department.

· Responsible to ensure that you have received training on Move/SOPS/the Booking System/all other applicable systems or have provided training to direct reports.

Research and provide legal opinions on a variety of issues and new business projects within the business to proactively identify, assess and manage legal risk

Assist fellow colleagues in the daily running of company related tasks
Be focused on providing work of an extremely high quality
Very good organizational skills
Must be willing to work shifts.
