Wetu is a SaaS, Business-to-Business technology company that supports the travel industry by enabling stakeholders ease of access to travel content and itinerary publishing. We have spent our first 10 years honing our business concept and developing our African footprint, and are now ready to expand our reach globally.
We are looking for an energetic marketing administrator to assist our marketing team. Reporting to the marketing manager, the primary focus of this position istoprovide accurate information to the marketing team, which enhances their marketing communications resulting in increased brand awareness and improved market reach.
Your responsibilities would include:
Provide the marketing team with accurate information by reviewing, managing and updating company databases and the customer relationship management system (CRM) (clients vs leads etc)
Enhance the marketing pipeline by sourcing potential leads using various platforms (Google, social media, referrals, customer Lists and business cards)
Collect, sort and format data from marketing campaigns
Assisting in compiling basic reports to improve market intelligence
Strengthen our competitive edge by conducting market research and analyses (via social media, their website, emails etc)
Keep visitors informed by updating the wetu blog and website regarding new clients and staff
Place orders and conduct follow-ups with suppliers to ensure marketing materials are ready for promotional activities
Help organize successful marketing events
Assist team with trade show logistics (pre-event, during and after the event)
Pass all new trial registrations to the sales team by capturing them into the CRM
Support the marketing team in daily administrative tasks

Completed a three-year tertiary qualification
At least 2 year’s experience working in an administration and/or data capturing the related role
Proficiency with programs, such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Knowledge of market research practices and techniques
Experience capturing, sorting and analyzing data
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across a wide audience
Capable of working with various computer software and online applications (e.g. CRM tools, Online analytics etc)
Passion for the marketing industry and its best practices
Experience in conducting research and basic reporting
Energy and a can-do attitude
An open approach to learning

Extra Awesome would be:
A completed degree in marketing or communications
Previous experience in the Travel and Tourism industry
