Job Description:

Provide mechanical and electrical work and services in order to maximize plant running time
Perform duties as per maintenance schedule
Perform work to mechanical and electrical trade standards
Pro-actively identify mechanical and electrical faults that can lead to plant downtime
Participate in root cause analysis to reduce unplanned stoppages
Assist in instrumentation related break downs
Initiate suggestions for plant modifications and improvements
Perform shutdown duties
Work according to safety rules and regulations
Perform standby duties when required

Education: Minimum Requirements

Recognised Millwright Trade Certificate
Grade 12 / Matric
Min 3-5 years post trade experience in heavy manufacturing environment
Code B Driving License

Job Experience & Skills Required:

Knowledge of cement industry equipment
Root cause analysis
Problem-solving skills
Fault finding skills
Safety rules and regulations
PC literate

Behavioural Competencies:

Planning and organizing skills
Performance orientated
Must be able to work under pressure
Must be able to work flexi-hours
Must be able to work long hours
Must be able to work with minimum supervision
Must be able to perform standby duties if required
Good energy level
