Candidate Requirements
DESCRIPTION OF THE JOB:
The incumbent will be required to ensure effective and efficient Asset Maintenance Management in respect of maintenance planning, maintaining and optimizing of the maintenance management systems and project operational readiness.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
:
Controls and administers the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) administration to address needs of the users in terms of enhancements, upgrades, repairs and functionality.
Co-ordination of the Asset Maintenance Management programme in line with guiding principles that have been set (e.g.. improvement plans, asset utilisation measures, cost benefits, labour utilisation, department integration, ROI, OEE).
Assists with the Implementation of the Asset Maintenance Management strategy through appropriate maintenance systems, correct planner resource structures, standardisation and training.
Implements maintenance improvement processes to drive out value such as RCM (Reliability Centred Maintenance) and RCA (Root Cause Analysis) and benchmarking exercises.
Provides specialist maintenance management services across the business, analyse maintenance trends, reports on repetitive failures, forecasting of long term planning requirements and planning assurance.
Addresses operational readiness requirements by the effective implementation of maintenance planning needs taking into account plant inventory, maintenance schedules, spares requirements & labour provisioning.
Training of engineering & production teams in maintenance management theory, application & use of the system.
Optimize the use of resources by carrying out regular audits on SAP PM System.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
Engineering Certificate or NQF equivalent
Minimum of 5 years of experience in an appropriate technical, production, maintenance and plant operational environment.
Minimum of 4 years relevant experience in Asset Maintenance Management as a Maintenance Planner.
Extensive Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) experience (e.g. SAP R/3 PM)
Must have worked offshore before
Computer Literacy – inclusive of advanced MS Office Suite & MS Project experience.
