A Leading Medical Company has a vacancy for a Rotating Kit Coordinator.

Job Scope:

The Rotating Kit Coordinator is responsible to check instruments in Rotating Kits and sets, for completeness, cleanliness and condition and to build implant banks as per check sheets and company SOP’s.

Key Accountabilities:

Receive booking sheet referencing the requirement
Get the relevant check sheet to verify the instrument/implant requirement and BOM
Check and assemble the instrument set/implant bank as per the check sheet.
Scan or record all implants. In Trauma and Spine sets a manual count is required to produce a record of the implants contained in a set. This is used to verify the accuracy and potential shortages and also serves as the list of items the hospital signs for on the POD.
Expiry dates to be verified to ensure only product with good shelf life is picked and packed.
Present the instrument set / rotating kit with documentation to be double checked.
Pack in suitable containers. Care to be taken to ensure product is not damaged
Pro-actively communicate on shortages to the supervisor, sales representative or other responsible persons.
Print labels and label boxes with hospital, surgeon and patient names.
Produce the delivery note with accurate information (as per the booking form) for the delivery.
After completion of cases and as required, check returned instruments/implant banks for completeness and condition.
Correct document control and making sure all the required documentation forms part of the document pack is a critical control.

Other responsibilities:

Ensure good housekeeping at all times
Comply with health and safety standards
Comply with all SOP’s and Works Instructions
Need to work overtime and shifts as and when required
Work nightshift and weekends

Skills, Qualifications and Experience:

5 years’ experience as an Instrument Coordinator or similar in a similar role would be advantageous
Experience in a warehouse environment in a large organisation will be advantageous
Core Competencies and requirements:

Ability to prioritize
Ability to work in pressure environment as part of a team
Accuracy – validate against booking sheet and check lists
Open and transparent communication
Clear and concise communication to Sales Representatives and Supervisors on shortage and time frames for delivery / collection
Ability to plan activities and to meet deadlines and time frames set
Own transport and valid driver’s license
