Sales Executive wanted: Salary R20 000 to R30 000 per month

We are a B2B company; importing and exporting a wide variety of chemical products across the lubricants, paint, plastic, water treatment, construction and building industry. The client is growing exponentially and we are looking for driven and hard working individuals to join our sales team in Johannesburg. This immediate hire is for a Sales Manager, based in Johannesburg, who will report directly to the CEO and work closely with the Sales Manager and Operational Manager, all based in the Head Office in Durban. The Sales Manager will have managerial, sales and business development responsibilities for the Southern Africa region.
Manage existing customers:
Organize and attend meetings, maintain relationships
Negotiate product prices
Obtain product orders and manage the end to end delivery of products with the help of our logistics and operations manager
Product development: gain a full understanding of our customer’s full product list, product research, competitor research, supply new products to existing customers
Research potential customers based in Johannesburg and Southern Africa
Organize and attend meetings with the aim to get new business
Manage the new business process: providing customers with product samples, oversee product testing, negotiate competitive product prices, manage orders and delivery
Maintain a healthy pipeline for future orders/ deals
Market research and bi-monthly market updates to customers
Be the company’s brand ambassador and represent our values and brand
Minimum BCom/ Honours degree in business or a related field
Proven and successful sales experience (minimum 3 years)
Advantageous to have previously worked within the building, construction, manufacturing, paint and lubricants business, with a good technical understanding of chemical products
Good verbal and written communication skills
Entrepreneurial and innovative by nature: proven experience of taking initiative, making internal and external processes more efficient, product development, business development
Well structured with excellent time management skills
This individual will be expected to spend most of their time on the road meeting customers. Thus, we are only looking for individuals who have their own transport. We will compensate for the kilometers they have travelled over company time.
