What you will do
As a Sales Representative in our DX (Direct Expansion/Unitary) Air Conditioning team you will be located in Isando and be responsible for the sale and promotion of our RAC/PAC products within Gauteng area.
You will run a revenue sales target, targeting new business and maximising opportunities within our existing customer base – which mainly refers to technical contractors and installers for the domestic/residential and light commercial industry. You’ll build and maintain long-term customer relationships and use company defined sales processes & tools.
You are a hunter driven to seek and develop existing business and long term customer relationships, self-motivated energetic, go-getter. You’re analytical, perseverant, determined and reliable in your approach to work, managing multiple priorities simultaneously because of your excellent planning, organization and time management skills.
How you will do it
As a Sales Representative, you will be calling on customers with main focus on growing existing customer base while building and managing long-term customer relationships/partnerships, responsible for customer satisfaction through executing the sales process. You will create competitive, high quality and timely estimates, bids, proposals, and cost/benefit analysis. You will negotiate the terms & conditions together with value & impact to the customer’s business in order to close the sales and ensure that Johnson Controls’ financial standards are fully adhered to.
You will apply knowledge of competitor’s business strategies, products and services to favorably differentiate Johnson Controls from them and utilize applicable sales tools effectively to plan and document progress as well as to increase business growth. Also, you will participate in professional organizations and appropriate trade shows.
What we look for
A proven sales track, especially design and estimation experience of RAC/PAC products
Additional experience of working in a front line sales position, selling direct to the customer
Capability to share technical solutions, select equipment, advise customers on possible solutions and close the sales
Previous experience of distribution
Proven ability in developing and delivering sales activities and market growth for new customers
Ability to influence key stakeholders in the customer’s buying decision process
Tireless, results driven, strong sales drive and hunter mentality
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience
Fluent language skills in English
Ability to travel
