Roche Diagnostics in Midrand is seeking a contractor for a year.

Among other duties the role would involve:

SPM and Spares on Hand Management

Align the SAP P37 MRP settings with the recommended MRP settings based on the monthly SPM
Report received from RDG to ensure the optimal inventory holding at the 3PL warehouse
Spares Process Management

Manage the IDOCS interface between the 3PL provider inventory system and the RDSA SAP inventorysystem and address any anomalies or variances highlighted by the system timeously with therelevant internal departments (IT, Finance) or the 3PL logistics partner.
Manage the return of spares from FSE’s, the sell back to RDG and any other stock adjustments where necessary
Cross department collaboration for spare management between CRM/ERP systems (SAP / Rexis)
Cross department collaboration with the commercial team regarding material master and correction to items, phase in and phase out process, management of material number changes.
Monitor the KPI metrics within the IDOCS system
Manage the relationship between the 3PL and RDSA from a systems interface perspective to ensure system interface problems are minimized
Communicate any amendments to be made to the inventory master with the internal person responsible for the master data system
Maintain accurate and timeous data management systems and records in accordance with relevant SOPs

Audit Function & Inventory Interface Control

Carry out daily checks on IDOCS to ensure that the SAP inventory reconciles to BPL inventory and resolve any anomalies or discrepancies with the relevant internal customers or 3PL personnel
Ensure that all information is posted, up to date and accurate in SAP system before financial month end closing
Manage FSE requests relating to the Inventory Interface (see challenges) Currently over 100 FSE’s
Assist the FSE’s with their quarterly boot stock count by generating the relevant inventory on hand reports and making the necessary inventory adjustments once authorization is received
Inbound Logistics related functions

Assist the Purchasing Officer with the procurement of all relevant RDG inventory in line with the relevant SOPs requirements and within the agreed purchasing schedule (as defined by GSC).
You, as an ideal candidate, will have the following skills, experience and education:

National Certificate in Procurement/Logistics /Management or related qualification (NQF level 5 and upwards)
At least 2 years logistics/supply chain (SC) experience with focus on inbound logistics and expediter administration.
SAP Inventory module and excel experience.
