MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
To assist the Portfolio Manager by managing the process flow from new loans disbursement coupled with continuous data analysis on the existing loans and employer portfolio to improve the successful debit order strike rate and collections on the allocated portfolio. Further assistance with regards to strike date related client queries and special confirmation projects.

DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:
New loan maintenance
Compare strike dates on new loans with the accredited calendar id on the Employer and or/other loans on client level.
Follow up with the client and the Employer if the calendar id and the salary date do not match.
Update the strike date and/or Employer on Exactus if any errors found.
Check the first strike date as per first due date and calendar and escalate any problems to Management.
Follow up on first strike failure in terms of strike date and Employer linked to the loan.
Management of existing allocated portfolio
Ensure that daily reports are being forwarded by Cognos/Management and follow up if need be.
Follow up on non-performing Employers as per exception reporting and provide feedback as per agreed turnaround times.
Ensure that any changes in pay dates are updated on all loans linked to the Employer and escalate problem areas/strike dates to Management.
Ensure that blocking of an Employer is initiated when a company has closed down or any adverse information is being received on the Employer.
Ensure that daily reporting is updated on the shared folder and is available for auditing/quality review purposes.
Keep good reputational relations with Employers and customers.
Ensure safekeeping of Employer documentation relating to pay date history
Inform management and relevant stake holder of any changes within Portfolio.
Provide feedback on Special Projects timeously
Keep good reputational relations with all Employers and customers.
Ensure continuous accuracy on Employer moss calendars.
Provide feedback on Seasonal and monthly pay date confirmation projects.
Compile and submit monthly reports on specific projects as requested by manager.
Ensure adherence to credit and risk policy.
Ensure that strike date related queries are dealt with timeously and feedback provided to the relevant department or client accordingly.
Ensure that contact with Employers is dealt with in a professional and efficient manner.
Ensure that contact with clients is dealt with in a professional and efficient manner.
Escalate any queries from clients/Employers to the relevant departments and ensure that feedback is provided to the relevant parties.
Assist with training and information sharing for new employees and/or temporary staff that assists with special projects.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Matric or related qualification
2 – 3 years related portfolio administration experience
Micro lending or related financial services exposure will be an advantage
Attention to detail
Deciding and Initiating Action
Self-motivated and ability to work independently or in team
Good interpersonal relationships
Ability to work under pressure
Bayfin and Exactus knowledge will be advantageous
Report writing ability on Exactus 911 will be advantageous
Ability to analyse data and formulate actions from this
Basic credit and risk understanding
Good verbal and written communication skills
