Role Summary:

Create efficiencies within the teams’ invoicing process;
Financial management of the Departments’ Work in Progress and assisting with financial reporting;
Manage and monitor compliance procedures;
Ensure smooth running of the SSA Valuation department.
Role Description:

This role is to provide exceptional support to the Head of Valuation: Sub-Saharan Africa and the Sub Saharan Africa Valuation Department. The role is Johannesburg based. This is an exciting and varied role within a core part of our SSA business.


Manage the departments’ finance, operations and compliance;
Create efficiencies within the teams’ invoicing process, including minimizing bad debts;
Financial management of the Departments’ Work in Progress and assisting with financial reporting;
Manage and monitor compliance procedures including JLL’s Know Your Customer (KYC) and anti-money laundering procedures within the team;
Assist with monitoring the team’s work load, ensuring deadlines are met;
Assist in the execution of the final product/deliverable to clients;
Assist in compiling marketing material used in the team’s proposals and bid documents;
Assist the team in achieving revenue targets by ensuring smooth running of the department;
Enhance work-flows and communication within the team by organising on-going training and team building activities;
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients as well as internal colleagues across JLL South Africa and the wider JLL EMEA group.

A candidate with an undergraduate degree preferred;
Property experience desirable but not essential;
Some finance experience would be of benefit;
Competent MS Excel experience;
PowerPoint and MS Word experience essential;
Ability to work well within a team and work consistently to given guidelines and protocols;
Very strong process and organisational skills;
Excellent spoken and written English; and, excellent numeracy skills.
Ability to anticipate and pre-empt the requirements of the Head of Department, with an ability to efficiently manage their time and commitments;
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, making decisions where necessary;
Demonstrates personal accountability, ownership and an ability to work effectively under pressure;
Has an excellent telephone manner and interpersonal skills to deal with a wide variety of clients and colleagues;
Excellent spoken and written communication skill;
Team player who deals effectively with colleagues and clients and who has the ability to establish good relationships with both;
Ability to prioritise workload, attention to detail and willingness to complete projects in a timely and efficient manner;
A thoughtful, cheerful and positive attitude is essential as is a genuine enthusiasm for the work that will be undertaken.
