Welding Technician will be responsible to maintain, sustain and improve welding conditions in all sub and main line assemblies by supporting the welding engineer with Validation activities

Duties

Interact with Weld Surveillance Inspectors in all areas by investigating and improving weld concerns raised by them.
Support Welding Engineer to close 7030 weld concern reports.
Support Welding Engineer to close flash report concerns.
Manage tear down work schedule.
Audit robot weld guns for electrode alignment, tip dress conditions and weld positions.
Weld Process Audits.
Support Maintenance and Weld Integrity Engineer with G8D on welding concerns
Update weld schedule cards by using Smartnet
Correct weld schedules by using Obara hand held pendant
Do all SPL training and insure implementation there off.
Support Weld Integrity Engineer with welding six panels activity.
Design and issue Process Intents as per required standards.
Shadow the welding engineer to gain useful work-related skills.
Attend to FCPA findings related to welding defects.
Do periodical PJO’s, Job observations and process confirmations.
Assist with the creation of repair standards.
Assist with the facilitation of weld repairs.
Weld corrections based on destructive test findings.

Experience & Qualification

National Diploma: Engineering (Mechatronics)
3 years Welding Experience
Experience in Resistance Spot Welding within an automotive Industry.
Welding, general mechanical and electrical experience.
Production Knowledge and Experience.
Manufacturing Engineering Knowledge and Experience.
Safety and housekeeping.
