Minimum requirements for the role:
Previous Call Centre and/or Logistics managerial experience is essential.
The successful candidate must demonstrate experience in managing logistics service providers.
Working knowledge and experience with business process mapping is essential.
Knowledge of all distribution and relevant labour related legislation is essential.
Previous experience having worked in the mining or heavy industrial environment would be advantageous.
Must have the ability to communicate confidently and effectively at all levels.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Managing the logistics portfolio including sales order processing, inbound and outbound logistics to ensure on-time and full deliveries to all customers.
Ensuring that the logistics activities remain coordinated and is running smoothly.
Providing proactive communication and solutions for distribution issues.
Managing supplier relationships to maintain execution of a reliable and efficient supply chain.
Engaging with customers and transporters to ensure and assist with effective and efficient supply of finished goods.
Developing, implementing and continuously improving on a logistics strategy for the company to satisfy customer delivery requirements.
Identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiencies to increase ability to process and deliver customer orders using both systems and physical enhancements.
Developing visible procedure and key performance areas to monitor quality and determine effectiveness of current procedures.
Ensuring proper compliance and adherence to export an import administration regulations.
